The Sea Whisperer is a giant octopus which lives off the coast of Twinford. It is incredibly large, and makes whispering sounds that only younger people can hear. If they go to investigate, the octopus strangles the breath from them, if they don't drown first. Its ink can be used as a truth serum, which is something that Count von Viscount wants in Ruby Redfort, Take Your Last Breath, where the octupus appears. The Sea Whisperer's truth serum also makes the victim who swallowed it irritatingly merry and talkative, as shown when Ruby Redfort swallows it.
